James Steven Greene

James Steven Greene, 52, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. 

Steven was born January 28, 1967 in Richmond County, the son of Johnnie Sims and the late Lacey F. Greene.

Surviving are his mother and step-father, Johnnie Sims Freeman and Charles Freeman of Rockingham; sister, Christy Webb of Rockingham; daughter Kayla Jordan of Beaufort, SC; stepsisters, Marie Braswell of Rockingham, Drema Jackson of Huntsville, Alabama, Genevia Freeman of Rockingham and stepbrother, Charles “Chuck” Freeman, Jr. of Seagrove.

A service to celebrate Steven’s life will be at 3 pm Saturday at Community Church with Rev. Chris Thornton officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
