James Ronald McLaughlin

James Ronald “Ronnie” McLaughlin Sr. 71, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday May 12, 2018  at Hospice Haven.  Mr. McLaughlin was born January 16,1947 in Bladen County, a son of the late Neil Robert McLaughlin and Margaret Barr McLaughlin. He was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church of Rockingham. He had retired from Owens Illinois.    He was preceded in death by his parents and  Brothers Robert and Doug McLaughlin; Sisters Bonnie McLaughlin and Faye Carroll. 

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Ezzell McLaughlin of the home. Children Mary Tia Harrelson(and Jr), Genia McLaughlin Beggs (and David), James Ronald McLaughlin, Jr.(and Vieng) all of Rockingham. Grandchildren Hunter Lear (Lauren), Kayla Harrelson, Nick Beggs, Nicole Beggs, Chloe McLaughlin and Ava McLaughlin.    Great Grandchildren Tillie and Nola Lear.   Surviving brothers are Ken, Danny, Mickey, Gerry and Tommy McLaughlin. Sisters Linda Bell and Sarah Meshaw.  

Visitation will be Tuesday May 15th 12:30-1:45 pm at Faith Free Will Baptist Church with funeral following at 2:00pm with Pastor Austin Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond Memorial Park in Rockingham with Pastor Mickey McLaughlin officiating.
