Jane Hollingsworth Shirk

Jane Hollingsworth Shirk, 83, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday , April 7, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital – Richmond Campus in Rockingham.

Mrs. Shirk was born July 13, 1934 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Gilbert Charles and Mima Virginia Steen Hollingsworth. She had attended the Church of God of Prophecy and retired from American Greetings. She loved her family and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Clifford Shirk.

Surviving are her son, Paul William Shirk (Cindy) of Rockingham; grandson, Corey Paul Shirk of Rockingham; sister, Edith Grant of Rockingham and special niece and caregiver Nellie Ruth Williams of Rockingham.

Funeral services will be at 2pm Tuesday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Fred Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 12:45 -1:45 pm Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home.
