Jeanne Polly Adcock Miller, 92, of Ellerbe, formerly of Oregon, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Miller was born October 14, 1928 in Hempstead, Long Island, New York, a daughter of the late William and Ragnhild Hansen Adcock. She started at MGM Studios as Gene Kelly’s messenger girl. Mr. Kelly asked to her to star in the movie “Summer Stock” with himself and Judy Garland. She also did multiple Broadway plays. She also was a Sun Valley Calendar Girl and was on a Voyage of the Queen Elizabeth 2 with the Kennedy family. She later became a rancher, had a way with animals, and her first ranch was used as a location for filming Bonanza. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Miller, her twin sister, Joan Chase and stepchildren, Ruth Ann Pieren and Steven Miller.

Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Kinney (Kyle) and grandchildren, Billy, Bobby and Ronnye.

Mrs. Miller will be entombed next to her husband in the mausoleum at Deschutes Memorial Gardens in Bend, Oregon.
