Jerry Davis Puckett

Jerry Davis Puckett, 73, of Ellerbe, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Mr. Puckett was born October 10, 1948 in Richmond County, a son of the late Ulysses Grant Puckett and Treva Lawson Puckett Chappell. Early in life he worked in farming and later in construction. He was a jack of all trades. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell E. Puckett in 2009 and a brother, Phillip Puckett.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Smith Puckett; son William Puckett (Sara); grandchildren, Miranda Puckett, Tracy Lyerly and Phillip Sellers; great grandchildren, Aaliyah Angelo, Hailie, Jenna and Ashton Lyerly, Karleigh and Nathan Sellers; brother, Tony Puckett and sister, Wanda Steele.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 pm Sunday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with Rev. Don Rhyne officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 2:30 pm Sunday.
