Jimmy Leon Davis

Jimmy Leon Davis, 75, of Rockingham passed away on January 6, 2023.  Jimmy was born in Moore County on September 13, 1947 a son of the late June Robert Davis and Evelyn Roller Davis. He was retired from Norman Knitting Company. He loved people, cars and fishing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nan Hodges Davis, son, Robert Leon Davis, and great-grandchild Robert Bradley Vuncannon.

Surviving are his children, Ronald Lee Davis (Vickie), Linda Gail Vuncannon, sister Ann Davis Crotts, grandchildren Kristen Vuncannon and Lindsey Vuncannon Kohl (Luke), and great-grandchild Everleigh Cook.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday in Richmond County Memorial Park, with Rev. Dennis G. Smith and Pastor Wayne Greene officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Carter Funeral Home from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
