JoAnn Garrison Cook

She was born May 5, 1941, in Darlington, SC a daughter of the late James and Olene Johnson Garrison. She was an inspector for Owens Illinois and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thayer L. Cook, Sr. 

She is survived by her children; Thayer L. Cook, Jr (Keri) of Rockingham, Michael Dean Cook, Sr. (Andrea) of Norwood, Jeffery Lee Cook, and Laurie C. Pressley both of Rockingham, 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. 

Funeral service will be held on; Friday, September 15, 2023 at 1pm with Pastor Curtis Williams officiating in the Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.

Family will greet friends from 11:45am ~ 12:45pm prior to the service as well as other times at the home.
