Joann Shepard

Angela Joann Shepard, 60, of Mt. Gilead, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Joann was born November 10, 1961 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Clyde Shepard, Jr and Dorothy Jane Carroll Shepard. She was a graduate of Richmond Senior High School and had worked in textiles and as a sitter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Shepard and a son Timothy Blake.

Surviving are her children, Rebekah Leonard (Joey) and Daniel Purvis (Taylor); grandchildren, Katelyn Leonard, Riley Purvis, John Leonard, and Jarrett Purvis; her significant other, Tim Blake; sisters, Darlene Estridge (David) and Kristy Shepard; brother Jerry Shepard; many nieces and nephews and her beloved pets, Jelly Bean and George.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, October 3, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
