John McRae Nance

John McRae Nance, Sr., 75 of Ellerbe passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

 

 

John McRae Nance Sr. was born on March 4, 1946 in Richmond County a son of the late Bernard Clay Nance Sr. and Annabelle Sugg Wagnnon Nance. He was a mechanic in the Farm Automotive Industry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bernard Nance Jr. and Dicky Nance.

 

Surviving are: John Nance Jr., and wife Laura; Clay Nance and wife Lynn; Frances Hodges and husband Daniel; Amanda Montgomery and husband Mark; Kelly Coleman; grandchildren, Tori Nance, Becka Davis and husband Lane, Bryan Wallace and Shanda, Adam Hatcher, Phillip Wells, Ava Hodges, Daniel Hodges II, Zachary Bunce, Alexandria Bunce, Jason Rogers, Aaron Rogers, Hunter Brown, Austin Brown, Evan Coleman, Sofia Coleman and 5 great-grandchildren.

 

A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Monday, November 15, 2021 in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will gather at Mr. Nance's residence following the services.

 

The family will receive friends and family on Sunday from, 6:00 pm 8:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe, NC.
