Judy C. Melton

  Judy C Melton(Nana), 76 years old, went home to be with our Lord on October 21, 2017 after many years of pain and suffering. Although it is hard to understand by those who love her, we have a loving God that knows best and was ready for a wonderful person to take her journey home. She was an outstanding witness in leading others to Christ. May God bless her with the many seeds in which she planted on the way.   We will truly miss her with a void that can’t be explained, but only for a short time, because one day soon we will all be together in the presence of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.   Surviving are her husband, William Jimmy Melton of the home; her children, Tammy Mischelle Melton of York, SC, Robert Leslie Melton(Jenny) of Rockingham; five grandchildren, Kristina Bennett, Misti (Jared) Britt, Robby (Gaby) Melton, Sierra (Jason) Sadler, Andrea Verde; ten great-grandchildren, Dylan Strickland, Kelsie Strickland, Delilah Sadler, Gavin Strickland, Jase Sadler, Ethan Strickland, Malakai Braddock, Grayson Britt, Meric Sadler, Mason Melton; siblings, Margie McKethan, Barbara Boyd, Jerrie Stephens and Preston Corbett; and a sister-in-law, Carol Melton.    Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday at Temple Baptist Church with Reverend Joey Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.   The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
