Lisa Genea England

Lisa Genea England, 60, passed away unexpectedly at her home Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Lisa was born in Cleveland County, NC, on June 29, 1960, a daughter of the late Eugene Francis England and Judith Ann Greene England.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeffrey Scott England, Sr. and Eric Cole England.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Tiffany England English (Tim) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Chloe and Hannah English; nephews and niece, Jeffrey England, Jr., Joshua England and Shelby England; one great nephew, Dean England; plus her long-time companion, David Morris.

During her high school years at Richmond Senior High School, Lisa was a proud member of “Starcher’s Marchers” marching band which contributed to her being a lifelong fan of Richmond Raiders football. The joys of her life were her grandchildren and she also enjoyed cross stitching in her spare time. She attended Victory Baptist Church. Her career was that of a Correctional Officer with the State of NC until health issued forced her retirement.  

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 20, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, June 21, at Victory Baptist Church with Pastor Russell Edwards and Rev. Joe B. Wilkes, Jr. officiating. She will be laid to rest in Richmond County Memorial Park following the service.
