Marianne Iacona Nichols

Marianne Iacona Nichols, 66 , of Ellerbe, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. 

Marianne was born May 6, 1957, in Boston, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Gasper and Mary Louise Bowman Iacona. She loved being Kenneth’s mother, playing the piano, cooking, tending her flowers and studying God’s word. Those things made her the happiest. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Iacona.

Surviving are her husband, Jeffrey Nichols; son, Kenneth Iacona (Alayna); sisters, Lynn Dawkins (Tommy) and Cindy Iacona and brothers, Val Iacona (Jeanette) and Gene Iacona. 

A service to celebrate her life will be at Cartledge Creek Baptist Church on Thursday, February 29, 2024 with visitation from Noon until 1:20 with the service staring immediately after. Pastor Jason Lutz will officiate.

Jesus is Lord of my life; I am led by the Spirit ,fed by the Word. I live by faith, And walk in love, in Jesus I am wealthy, well and wise.  Protected by His Blood; blessed not Cursed,  His Grace is Sufficient for Me. His will, my Pleasure; His Cross, my victory! I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength! Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you and guide you.
