Mary Kay Freeman Faulk, 72, of Rockingham joined her late husband, William “Dewitt” Faulk, in their heavenly home on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. She had been under Hospice care at a UNC Hospice Center in Pittsboro.
A native of Richmond County, she was a daughter of the late Emory Daniel Freeman and Ruth Harrelson Freeman. Over the years, she had also been involved in some start-up businesses, but her primary occupation was that of a dedicated homemaker and caregiver for her family. She attended Abundant Life Church.
Her memory will be cherished by her three children: Marty Faulk of Laurinburg, Kimberly Gathings of Ellerbe, and William “Chip” D. Faulk, Jr. of Rockingham; five grandchildren: Tiffany Wilson, Kayla Wilson, Amber Faulk, Shawn Faulk and Allyson Faulk; three great grandchildren: Landon Wilson, Gage Ricks and Matthew Brigman; her twin sister, Shirley Freeman Grooms; and one brother, Billy Freeman. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Linda F. Culler and Edward Freeman.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be conducted. Pastor Joe B. Wilkes, Jr. will officiate and she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Eastside Cemetery.
Carter Funeral Home is serving the Faulk family. Condolences may be posted online at www.carterfh.net.
