Mary Albright Sellars

Mary Albright Sellars, 82, of Rockingham, NC, passed away on December 27, 2018 at her home.  She was born on September 14, 1936 in Guntersville, AL a daughter of the late Fred Albright and Florence Channey Albright. She was the owner and operator of Richmond Flower Shop for many years  before retiring to become “Nanny”.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Sellars, Sr.,  daughter Mary Joyce Sellars; son-in-law Arthur Downs; grandchild Mary Downs and great-grandchild, David Lyford; sisters, Edna Lawrence, Hilda Pearson, Rebecca Brock; and brothers, Louis Albright, Newman Clemons  J.C. Albright, Joe Albright.

Surviving are her children, Charles D. Sellars, Jr. and Marsha, Bebee U. Downs, William F. (Freddie) Sellars and Linda, James E. (Eddie) Sellars and Lena; Honorary son, Randy Ezzell, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews; a brother David Albright of Hamlet, sisters, Alta Smith of Rockingham and Sybil Capman of Rockingham.

A funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2018  at Zion United Methodist Church at 3:00pm  with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
