Mary Angeline Treece

Mary Angeline Treece, 74, of The Hermitage in Rockingham, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 29, 2023 at Hospice Haven.

Angie, as she was lovingly known by all, was born in Montgomery County, August 26, 1949 to Vance Shuford Treece and Mary Frances Haywood Treece of Norman, NC.

Angie was cared for after her mother's death in 1968 by her aunt, the late Donnie Mae Haywood Williams, and her daughter, Shelby Williams McIntyre.  Angie became a resident of Glenwood Resthome in Rockingham in 1970. In 2005, Angie moved to The Hermitage in Rockingham.

Angie was a loving sister, Aunt, Great Aunt, roommate, friend, and Christian.  She had a hug, smile and love for everyone.  Her love was contagious and everyone loved her. Her love for Jesus was amazing!  Angie loved her family, her church family and Pastor Marvin, and her Hermitage family.  She loved riding the bus to her church, singing, dressing up, and having her hair and nails done. She loved making people smile and truly loved being a servant to the Lord.

Angie loved being pampered by her brother and nieces at his home in Norman every year at Christmas.

Angie was predeceased by her parents and a niece, Candy Sue Treece.

She is survived by her brother, Larry Shuford Treece (Irene) of Norman, NC, nieces, Tina Treece Jacobs (Dennis) of Ellerbe, NC, Pam Treece of Norman, NC and great nieces and nephews, Summer and Samantha Jacobs, CJ Robson and Dillon Reeder.  Angie is also survived by her special roommate of many years, Lynne Ricker.

A special thanks to Shelby McIntyre and family, and The Hermitage for the care of Angie throughout the years.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Outreach for Jesus in Hamlet with visitation from 12:45 to 1:45pm, service at 2pm with Pastor Marvin Taylor.  Burial will follow at Norman Cemetery in Norman, NC.
