Mildred Reynolds Glidewell

Mildred Reynolds Glidewell, 82, of Ellerbe, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 at her home.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Ellerbe with Pastor Donald Davis officiating.

Mrs. Glidewell was born December 24, 1938 in the Mt. Pleasant Community of Richmond County to the late Joseph and Eunice Lanier Reynolds. She was last employed as Vice-President of Glidewell Construction Company. She was a lifetime and active member of Mt. Pleasant Church as her health permitted. She enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her grandkids and working in her flowers and keeping her yard in perfect order.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Glidewell, brother, Auman and Ralph Reynolds and sister, Mae Reynolds Smith.

She is survived by daughters, Patricia Stewart Vuncannon (Edward) of Norwood and Cathy Stewart Cloninger (Eddie) of Ellerbe; grandchildren, Bryan Cloninger (Amanda), Kim Vuncannon Boyles, Craig Cloninger (Elizabeth) and Katie Vuncannon Norton (Josh); great grandchildren, Kaleigh, Madyson, Tyler and Bristol Cloninger, Mackenzie Boyles, Abigail and Olivia Cloninger and Tilley and Brenner Norton.

A special thank you to her faithful caregivers over the last few years and Community Home Care and Hospice for their care given to her during her homebound years.
