Naomi Lee Haywood Stutts, 88, of Ellerbe passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham.

Mrs. Stutts was born July 29, 1936 in Montgomery County, a daughter of the late Jonah and Mildred Mauldin Haywood. She was a member of Ellerbe First Presbyterian Church, PCA and retired after 35 years from Burlington Industries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, James Haywood, Cozette Greene, Shirley Dorsett and Rebecca Haywood. 

Surviving are her husband of 70 years, Herman D. Stutts; daughter, Janet S. Monroe (Ricky); grandchildren, Timothy Dustin “Dusty” Stewart and Holli Stewart Lane (Chris); step grandchildren, Ben Monroe (Khrista) and Mary Monroe; great grandchildren, Gage Stewart, Benjamin Monroe, Timber Lane, Taylee-Faye Lane, and Tucker Lane; brother, Ernest Haywood (Rosa) and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with Rev. James Watson officiating. Burial will be held privately in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home. 

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, PCA, P. O. Box 116, Ellerbe, NC 2833
