Patricia Settle Dawkins

Patricia “Pat” Settle Dawkins, 82, of Rockingham, completed her earthly journey on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

Mrs. Dawkins was born July 29, 1940 in Richmond County, NC , a daughter of the late Hiram Dixon and Nina Privette Settle. She was a graduate of Rockingham High School and St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. She was a very active member of West Rockingham Methodist Church and was owner and operator of Nina’s Beauty Shop, which was started by her mother. She enjoyed working with flowers, being outdoors and trips to the coast.

Surviving are her husband, Donald M. Dawkins; siblings, H. Dixon Settle, Jr. (Mary Alice), Frances Settle Harris and Becky Settle Springer and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Paul Haber officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:45 -1:45 pm Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home.
