Patricia McGrath

Patricia McGrath, 83, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Moore County, North Carolina, on February 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia lived a life filled with rich experiences and unwavering love for those around her.

Patricia was an avid football fan, she held fierce loyalty to the Washington Redskins and the Kansas City Chiefs. Her enthusiasm extended to NASCAR, where she eagerly followed each race, cheering on her favorites with unbridled excitement. Patricia's love for reading was also well-known among her family and friends; she would often immerse herself in a good book, finding joy in the worlds that literature opened to her.

Traveling was another of Patricia's great passions, allowing her to explore new places and create cherished memories. Her adventurous spirit was matched only by her love for animals, as she often opened her heart and home to creatures big and small.

A member of the Jackson Springs Presbyterian Church, Patricia was involved with the Presbyterian Women.

Patricia took immense pride in her family, which stood as her proudest accomplishment. She is survived by her children, Lisa Richardson Tindell and Elaina Richardson Overby (Steve), Chuck Richardson, Karyn Richardson Ring (Todd). Patricia is also survived by her step-children, Howard McGrath III (Wendy) and Pam Daley (John). She leaves a wonderful legacy through her grandchildren, Jason Williams (Tara), Ashton Albert (Steven), Devon Williams, Austin Tindell, Christopher McGrath (Ashley), Zach Daley, and Madison Daley; along with ten beloved great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Patricia will be fondly remembered by her sister, Joyce Edge, and the many friends whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard McGrath; her parents, Harold Price and Christine Hill Price; and her siblings, Ronnie "Pete" Price and Carolyn Sellers as well as a step-child Jimmy McGrath.

Family and friends are invited to honor Patricia's life and legacy during a visitation at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe on February 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held the following day, February 22, 2025, at Jackson Springs Presbyterian Church at 11:30 AM.

The family would like to thank their cousin Kristi Edge Beard for her love, support, and presence through her final hours along with Kathy and Jeanne with Comfort Keepers and Krystal with Gentiva Hospice.

As we remember Patricia McGrath, let us celebrate the laughter, love, and countless memories she gifted us. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
