Rev. Dennis "Denny" Glennon

Rev. Dennis Joseph “Denny” Glennon, 72, of Hamlet, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at his home.

Denny was born April 6, 1946 in Trenton, NJ, a son of the late Thomas and Virginia Clemmons Glennon. He was graduate of Duke Divinity School, and a United Methodist Minister having served Ellerbe First , Mt. Pleasant, Roberdell and Beaver Dam United Methodist Churches in Richmond County, and Zion United Methodist Church in Norlina.  In addition to his parents and siblings, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan May Glennon.

Surviving are his children, Heather Glennon of Cameron, Katie McFayden (Tim) of Hamlet and grandchildren, Faith, Grace and Hope McFayden.

A service to celebrate his life will be at 2pm Wednesday at Fellowship United Methodist Church in Hamlet with Rev. Dave Amon officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the church and at other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 US Hwy 1 N, Rockingham, NC 28379.
