Roger Lee Tilley

Roger Lee Tilley, 69, passed away at his home in Ellerbe Thursday morning, December 31, 2020, following a period of declining health. He was born in Moore County on November 24, 1951, a son of the late David and Nettie Puckett Tilley.

Roger retired as a truck driver from TI Industries of Lexington. His hobbies included fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Helen Chavis Tilley; three daughters, Candi Tilley of Hamlet, Juwana Chavis of Candor and Porshia Chavis-Oxendine of Rowland; seven grandchildren: Jasmine Tilley, Yolanda Tilley, Zac Chavis, Shane Chavis, Dyllon Chavis, Jacob Oxendine and Jace Oxendine; one brother, Ray Tilley of Winston-Salem; and two sisters, Carolyn Spivey (Jerry) of Ellerbe and Mary Jo Rogers (William), of Norman.

Services will be private for the family.
