Lieutenant Scottie D. Brigman

Scottie Dwayne Brigman, 50 of Cordova, NC passed away Friday June 21, 2024 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 2, 1973 in Chesterfield County, SC to Lawrence Edward and Joyce Carolyn McGee Brigman.

 Scottie was a Lieutenant with Cordova Fire and Rescue for 22 years. His daughter Destiny was his world. He deeply loved his fire department and enjoyed fishing and the great outdoors.

 He is preceded in death by a cousin Allen Wayne Poston. Along with his parents, Scottie is survived by his daughter Destiny Brigman, Brother Edward Brigman (Leslie), Sister Tammie Smith (Hal), Nieces and Nephews Kayla Brigman, Austin Smith, Mark Fuller (Nisha), Crystal Cline, Kristie Cook (Jamie), Anthony Smith (Candice) and Nathan Smith.

 A visitation will be held on Sunday June 23rd, 2024, at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham, North Carolina from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held Monday June 24th, 2024 at Cordova Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor James Crooke, Pastor Anthony Dole and Pastor Perry Deal Officiating. Burial will follow in the True Gospel Emanuel Church Cemetery, Wallace, SC.

 The family will receive friends at other times at the home of his sister Tammie Smith.
