Stephen "Greg" Gregory Shepard

Stephen Gregory “Greg” Shepard, 47, of Hamlet, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 at his home. 

Greg was born February 17, 1975  in Scotland County, the son of the late Stephen James “Buddy” and Ada Delores Dawkins Shepard. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, and fishing. Greg was a jack of all trades and truly lived life to the fullest. He was a beloved son, brother, father, papa, uncle, and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Amanda “Mandy” Blue.

Surviving are his daughters, McKenzie Shepard Knight (Kaleb) and Jordan Shepard Griffith (Josh); grandson, Owen Knight and sister, Amber Shepard.

A service to celebrate Greg’s life will be at 3:00 pm Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Odell Shepard officiating.

The family will greet friends from 1:45- 2:45 pm Thursday at the funeral home and at other times at Jordan and Josh’s home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McKenzie and Jordan.
