Vance Eric Hudson

Vance Eric Hudson, 82, of Gastonia, formerly of Rockingham, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at Asbury Health and Rehabilitation, Aldersgate in Charlotte. 

 Mr. Hudson was born June 27, 1942 in Wilmington, NC, a son of the late Vance Lee and Dorothy Edwards Hudson. He served his country in the US Army and later retired from the North Carolina National Guard. For many years he drove buses for the City of Charlotte, as well as Charlotte/Douglas International Airport. He loved spending time with family and talking and eating good food.

Surviving are his daughter, Ericka H. Silva(Ivan); grandchildren, Lilly Silva and Suzanna Silva; brother, William H. Hudson (Susan); sister, Judy Pratt (John) and nephew, Brian Pratt.

 Graveside services, with Military Honors, will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Richmond County Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Whitson officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.
