On May 7, 2024, the world lost a beloved soul with the passing of Vickie Lynn Blevins, who was fondly known for her kindness, care, and unwavering love that she showered upon everyone she met. Born on November 26, 1956, in Richmond County, North Carolina, Vickie's life was a testament to compassion and joy.
Vickie had a fulfilling career as the finance manager for R.W. Goodmans in Rockingham. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her passion for life's simple pleasures. She found solace in planting flowers in the garden and watching them bloom—a reflection of her nurturing spirit that she extended not just to plants but to all who crossed her path.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family and friends: Ernest Allen Blevins Jr., Christopher Michael Blevins, and Travis Eugene Loudermilk - her beloved sons; Joan Benoist - her dear sister. In their hearts, Vickie's legacy will endure as a beacon of love and resilience.
A light has dimmed with Vickie's passing, leaving a void in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Yet, amidst the sorrow, we find solace in the memories she created and the lives she touched with her warmth. Her parents B.J. Grant and Betty Shepherd Grant, along with siblings Tommy Grant, Linda Smith, and Carol Grant will forever hold dear the moments shared with Vickie.
